Rosalyn Lee

Specialty: One-person meals

It can be tempting to live on a diet of fast food, frozen meals or takeout when you live alone but Rozz is having none of that. Not only has the former DJ perfected the art of cooking for one, she makes it look like a breeze - you won’t believe the number of times we have been tempted try out her #rozzrecipes after seeing her mouth-watering food snaps and cooking videos on Instagram. Rozz takes her food so seriously that she makes everything from scratch, from pancakes and bread to pasta and sauces. And if that doesn’t motivate you to step into the kitchen, maybe her gram-worthy chopping board flatlays and kitchenware will.

Kym Ng

Specialty: Home-style dishes (or whatever her hubby craves)

Kym may have only embarked on her culinary journey two years ago but judging from photos of her perfectly-plated “restaurant standard” meals complete with garnish, wine, and flowers (her hubby is big on food presentation) on Instagram, we’d say she’s doing a pretty good job in the kitchen. The pint-sized host credits her love affair with cooking to her husband, who encouraged her to give it a go. While her most frequently documented dishes are simple stir-fries, Kym occasionally ups the ante by trying more complicated fare such as nourishing soups and curry. Well, the way to a man heart is through his stomach, no?

Qi Yuwu

Specialty: Cantonese cuisine

Yuwu is not your average homecook. So serious about the craft that he sought lessons from a cooking teacher several years ago and spent one and a half years creating his own dishes. This probably explains the wide repertoire which includes herbal soups, confinement meals and Western fare. So what’s Joanne’s favourite dish by Chef Qi? Oxtail bourguignon.

Joanne Peh

Specialty: Baked treats

While Yuwu enjoys cooking, Joanne prefers baking and has turned into quite the domestic goddess since tying the knot. Some of her very drool-worthy creations include a no-cheese strawberry cheesecake, mooncakes, which Baby Qi had a hand in making, and honey earl cake with figs and pistachios for Yuwu’s birthday.

Jeremy Chan

Specialty: Everything

Jeremy is a man of varied tastes, having whipped up everything from bak kut teh and kimchi to cauliflower fried rice (wife Jesseca Liu’s favourite) and wagyu steak. He even bought an oven just so he can try his hand at making his own siew yok (roast pork) - talk about hard core. He may be a natural in the kitchen but Jesseca is not half bad either. According to the actor, she can make a mean braised pork rice and assam laksa.

Desmond Tan

Specialty: Tried and tested crowd pleasers

Desmond came up tops in The Celebrity Cook-Off last year so it’s no surprise that he feels right at home in the kitchen. The actor enjoys having friends over and some of his popular party dishes include lobster rolls and prawn noodle soup, which he makes from scratch. If that doesn’t impress you, #ChefDT has also made tea leaf eggs and pandan chiffon cake for members of his fanclub Destanation. He sure knows the way to his fans’ hearts and stomachs!
