What better way to celebrate Singapore’s 52nd anniversary by doing what Singaporeans do best – by eating? While there is a time and a place for trendy foods like eggs benedict and soft serve charcoal waffles, the weeks surrounding National Day are a season for celebrating all things local. So if you’re feeling patriotic (and hungry!) check out these limited edition National Day menu items, as well as these unique takes on traditional Singaporean cuisine:

To celebrate National Day, BreadTalk will welcome “a new bun-dle of joy” to its Flosss family: limited edition “BB” Flosss buns, which are a daintier version of the beloved Flosss buns. These ones combine crunchy, buttery cereal with the iconic savoury floss to create what will surely become an addictive (and slightly spicy) snacktime treat.

The Cereal Flossss BB buns will be available in BreadTalk stores between 3rd to 10th August, in boxes of 6, while stocks last.

New at Antoinette, this Hakka take on an Italian pasta staple (or perhaps it's an Italian take on a Hakka staple?) features a slew of scrumptious ingredients amidst the abacus beads: dried shrimp, cuttlefish, cured pork, and foie gras, among others. Plus beetroot, sweet potato, and purple sweet potato. We can almost taste the chewiness from behind our screens!
