What she ate: Lion dance cake by Baker’s Hearts for Zed’s third birthday

Yummy factor: This cake’s got major wow-factor – how fitting for national day baby Zed Zed!

Jeanette Aw

What she ate: Cookies in Zaragoza, Spain

Yummy factor: “Cookie choosing is serious business,” Jeanette captioned. Check out the heavy brown spherical variety in the front. It’s like a cookie in mantou form. Yum!

Kimberly Chia

What she ate: A cake and pastries for her 22nd birthday celebration

Yummy factor: How fitting is this heart-shaped cake for sweetheart Kimberly? The blue-pink swirled frosting is lovely, but it’s the thick crumb bottom that takes the cake.

Desmond Tan

What he ate: Fish carpaccio in Sydney

Yummy factor: We don't know if Desmond, who swore off raw fish after a "nasty" scene for When Duty Calls, actually ate this but it sure got us craving sashimi.

What she ate: Tahu goreng

Yummy factor: You know it’s good when the fried tofu is barely visible, drowning under crunchy, tangy-sweet peanut sauce.

Cynthia Koh

What she ate: Her favourite Thai fish cake at Chatuchak Market in Bangkok

Yummy factor: Considering how overjoyed Cynthia was to find this particular uncle after a long, sweaty hunt, there must be something special about these fish cakes all right.

Pierre Png and Andrea de Cruz

What they ate: Birthday cakes for Pierre’s dad, who turned 83

Yummy factor: Preparing both a sinfully decadent cake and a lighter, naked bundt cake is a smart and considerate move. The customised “Happy Birthday Kong Kong” cake topping is a sweet touch too.

Apple Hong

What she ate: In Bangkok, Apple indulged in a 25-course at Gaggan, which placed seventh in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2017.

Yummy factor: How adorable is the menu in emojis? The courses themselves are like works of art. Don’t knock a flower-imprinted burger bun until you try it.

Allan Wu

What he drank: A large glass of cola in Milan

Yummy factor: This soda cost a whopping $25 EUR (S$40)! Ouch. Poor Allan didn’t know until after the bill arrived. Next time, go for the wine.

Oon Shu An

What she ate: For her 31st birthday, Shu An had a unicorn cake and a homemade cake by her mum.

Yummy factor: Even with its eyes melted, the unicorn cake is still “almost too beautiful to eat,” as Shu An wrote. But our vote’s for her mum’s cake, made of sago with coconut ice cream and gula melaka. How mouth-watering does that sound?

What she ate: Mamak-style Maggi goreng

Yummy factor: Sometimes, greasy food tastes best in Styrofoam containers. That prawn is crispy beyond recognition.

Dylan Quek

What he ate: Cream muffin at Hattendo Café

Yummy factor: If you like oozy food and muffins, the concept of a cream-filled muffin – crumbly on the outside, gooey on the inside – would appeal. But they’re only available at Hattendo Café until 14 August, so act fast.

What she ate: Salmon fillet with spinach salad and mashed sweet potatoes

Yummy factor: This looks so wholesome and tasty, can you blame poor Biscuit for begging with his eyes?

Kunhua

What he ate: A pretty National Day-themed cake from Lin Peifen, and mid-filming snacks with Jeremy Chan, Hayley Woo, and Kym Ng

Yummy factor: Food makes friendships stronger, whether it’s in the form of a slice of heart eyes-inducing fluffy cake from Mama Peifen, or sharing chips and laughs with colleagues. While we can’t be sure if Kunhua and Jeremy sampled the chips, we’re sure they were warmly offered and sometimes that’s all that counts.

Lina Ng

What she ate: Breakfast with her husband at Hans Cafe before he flew off for work

Yummy factor: We’re firm believers that pre-flight sustenance sets the tone for travel. These hearty breakfast platters with freshly scrambled eggs should tide him over stale airplane food.

Sharon Au

What she ate: Birthday cakes to celebrate turning 42

Yummy factor: It looks like chocolate cakes are the way to Sharon’s heart. Instead of candles, the styleXstyle team stuck photos of their own faces on the cake and wrote #AUSOME in frosting. Auuu…

Tay Kewei

What she ate: Her mum’s 60th birthday cake

Yummy factor: Between the beaming smiles on their faces, the flashy balloons, the pretty bouquet and prosperity peach cake (dead ringer for the peach emoji), this is a baller way to ring in one’s 60th birthday.

Xie Jia Fa

What he ate: Curry pork chop rice with fried egg and cabbage from Bugis Eleven Fingers Curry Rice

Yummy factor: Messy but straight-up good, especially for $4. No wonder Jia Fa declared he was “belly happy.”
