Zoe Tay

What she ate: Pizza, onion rings, burgers and fries with her While We Are Young co-stars including Rebecca Lim, Zong Zijie, Calvert Tay, Chantalle Ng, Joanna Theng and Lee Decheng

Yummy factor: Glorified gourmet fast food is a tried-and-true crowd-pleaser –  just look at Rebecca’s euphoric face for proof.

Eelyn Kok

What she ate: Apples

Yummy factor: We know what you’re thinking: Apples are boring. But an easy way make the ordinary apple-munching experience more novel is to enjoy it in slices, neatly plated. Bonus tip: Dip the slices in Greek yoghurt for a protein-packed snack.

What she drank: Red wine

Yummy factor: For someone who drank two glasses of wine, Carrie looks pretty stoic, but at least she doesn’t suffer from the dreaded Asian glow.

What he ate: Roti prata on-the-go

Yummy factor: This might be #badadvice as Andie hashtagged, but can’t we all relate? We like how he didn’t even bother to unfurl the prata, and just chomped clean into the roll instead.

Bonnie Loo

What she ate: Birthday cakes to ring in her 23rd year with Jeremy Chan, Cavin Soh, and Charles Lee, along with her fan club, Bonnie Loo FC

Yummy factor: Dudes we hate to break it to you but Bonnie Loo FC totally schooled you on the cake, at least presentation-wise. It’s tough to beat ombre rose frosting. Regardless, Bonnie looked thrilled with both cakes.

What he ate: Tomato and avocado toast

Yummy factor: Could Desmond have loaded any more avocados on that toast? It’s groaning under all the weight.

What she ate: Durians

Yummy factor: There's no better way to enjoy durian than sitting on the floor and eating it straight from the shell. Remember to lick the seeds clean when you are done!

What he ate: Mao Shan Wang durian from Da Feng Shou

Yummy factor: Attention pregnant ladies: You can now get these delivered to you, so stop sending your poor husbands out in the middle of the night when the craving strikes. These durians practically made Glen’s eyes pop out of his head, so they had be solid.

What she ate: Thai barbeque steamboat with her 118 family at 888 Mookata

Yummy factor: The meat and seafood are tasty and all, but it’s the packet of Mama instant noodles we’re eyeing.

Ian Fang

What he ate: Chips and beer

Yummy factor: Every beer needs a salty companion. If you don’t believe it, try crunching on sea salt and vinegar chips next time. It makes the perfect partner to an ice cold beer, especially when the acidic kick lingers on your tongue after each guzzle.

Michelle Chong

What she ate: Peanut butter and banana toast

Yummy factor: Nothing makes simple food like toast look more atas than serving it on an Hermes plate. Now, excuse us while we dust off our bone china dinnerware.

Jaime Teo

What she ate: Lunch including salmon steak with free range poached egg and crab meat linguine topped with arugula at Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters with Cynthia Koh and Michelle Chong

Yummy factor: Okay, that salmon steak was “sous vide” which translates to “hip and fancy” in casual culinary speak. Plus, with the chunks of crabmeat nestled in that linguine, this is a meal worthy of these ladies and their overdue catchup.

What she ate: Hotplate tofu

Yummy factor: The bubbling sauce and wobbly tofu comprised the best jiggling act we saw all day.

Jean Danker

What she ate: Uma Uma ramen, spicy Chasiu ramen, chicken karaage, spicy chasiu bun, and gyu don takeaway from Uma Uma

Yummy factor: In our humble opinion, ramen is meant to be eaten piping hot and freshly made on sight, but this looks pretty good for takeaway. Biscuit would agree. Jean, why’d you have to tease a puppy like that?

Cynthia Koh

Cynthia Koh

What she ate: Chicken noodle soup with an avalanche of fried shallots

Yummy factor: The way that fried shallots work is, once you add these crispy aromatic suckers to your noodle soup, there’s just no going back to life without them. The blandness!

What he ate: Double ice cream scoops at The Daily Scoop

Yummy factor: Josh, just because you love ice cream doesn’t mean you have to marry it. No ice cream is that good.

What she ate: Sliced fish soup

Yummy factor: This is cloudy weather comfort food, all right. Nothing like shiitake mushrooms to add even more fragrance to silky broth.

What she ate: Post yoga lunch at Ninja Bowl

Yummy factor: “Tasting colours of the rainbow,” Liv wrote of this vibrant spread, jazzed up with crunchy veggies and onsen eggs. The Genki bowl (with yaki unagi topping) is calling our name.

What she ate: Chicken In A Biskit

Yummy factor: Ermahgerd! We've been trying to get our hands on these addictive biscuits since we heard they were back on shelves in Singapore but to no avail. Auntie Sherry, can we get a box or two, please?

Muttons

What they ate: Fries upon fries in New York

Yummy factor: When you gorge on bacon-covered fries from Gansevoort Market one day and a cone of frites in Soho shortly thereafter, the only way to justify such indulgence is to go on the defensive as the Muttons did and claim, “Because fries are vegetables.”

What she ate: Yang tau foo beehoon with fishballs and heaps of chili padi

Yummy factor: This was Pat’s only main meal that day, and it looks like she made it count. We just hope her taste buds survived the chili.

Kunhua

Kunhua

What he ate: In Bangkok, Kunhua slurped an ice blended watermelon juice at the Train Night Market Ratchada, and celebrated his birthday with a chocolate-coated cake.

Yummy factor: While the cake might not look out-of-this-world, for Kunhua, who usually doesn’t celebrate his birthday, it was a “rewarding and recharging experience” to celebrate it away from home. We hope that overflowing watermelon cup was just the beginning of the birthday boy’s feasting journey in Bangkok.

Thomas Ong

What he ate: Radish cake with Japanese scallop XO sauce by Cheryl Wee’s mum that Cheryl delivered to Thomas in the morning

Yummy factor: You know it’s authentic and homemade when you can actually see the strips of grated radish – a big difference from the flour-filled prepackaged versions.
