From a galaxy far, far away, two life-sized replicas of starfighters from the Star Wars universe have finally made their way to Changi Airport .

Starting today (Nov 12), members of the public can view replicas of the X-wing Fighter, used by the Rebel Alliance in the original trilogy, and the Empire's TIE Fighter at Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 respectively.

The replicas won't make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs, but the public can even get a chance to board the X-Wing from now until Jan 5 next year. Tickets to board the X-Wing Fighter will be given on a first come, first served basis. There are 80 tickets given out for each time slot.

Meanwhile, the All Nippon Airways R2-D2 Jet today also made its grand entrance at Changi Airport. It is the first commercial aircraft in the world to be decorated with a Star Wars livery and will make a brief two-night stop here.
