Sephora Fall Releases

It is impossible to walk into Sephora and come out empty-handed – or at the very least, with a hand covered in lipstick swatches and eyeshadow glitter.  As if the displays weren’t overwhelming enough, Sephora gets an influx of new products every quarter, meaning there’s something new to tempt us every time we peek in. So to make your journey down the aisles a little easier, we’ve narrowed down 16 of our favourite fall releases. Check out the best new products from Urban Decay, Bare Minerals, Clarisonic, and more here.

1. Serum foundation from Bare Minerals

Bare Minerals, long favoured for their loose mineral powder, has finally jumped aboard the serum bandwagon with their bareSkin ‘liquid’ foundation – a two-in-one mineral foundation and skincare serum with no oil, no silicone, no water, no parabens, and no fragrance. This super-thin, super-mild product works wonders for sensitive skin, thanks to natural ingredients like lilac plant stem cells and jojoba-coated mineral pigments. (Pictured above: bareSkin Foundation, S$55; Perfecting Face Brush, S$45

2. Arm and eye-perfecting cream from Bliss

There are two Bliss products we’re excited about this fall: the Fatgirl Arm Candy, a massaging applicator that tones, brightens, and hydrates your arms; and the Firm, Baby, Firm total system with separate blends for your upper and lower eyelids. (Firm, Baby, Firm Total Eye System, S$98; Fatgirl Arm Candy, S$56)

3. Boscia’s cool blue eye and skincare products

If there’s one product every young urban dweller needs, it’s an eye cream – and Boscia’s All-In-One BB Eye Brightener ($57) comes in a self-adjusting shade suitable for all skin types (no need to fret about blending with this baby). And as suckers for anything that will ease the humidity, we’re eager to get our hands on the brand’s Cool Blue Hydration Essence ($42), which uses Frescolat, a peppermint-derived ingredient, to blast your skin with coolness and hydration.

5. Eyeko Me & My Shadow Waterproof Liner

Everyone loves a good smoky eye, but applying it (without looking like a panda) takes practice. Which is why we love London eyeliner brand Eyeko for releasing a product that makes the learning curve a lot easier.  Their Me & My Shadow waterproof shadow liner ($25) uses a formula that’s versatile enough to double as an eyeliner and eyeshadow. Simply smear a bit of the crayon across your eyelids and use the built-in blending brush to smoke it out – no need to bother with hard-to-blend powder palettes!

6. Foreo Luna

Skincare gadgets are all the rage now, and we’re especially intrigued by the Foreo Luna, a non-abrasive brush paddle that massages your face while cleansing your skin.  While this little device might not have the cathartic feel of a Clarisonic, it’s more suitable for those with ultra-sensitive skin thanks to its silicone ridges.

7. Kate Somerville Eczema Therapy Cream

7. Kate Somerville Eczema Therapy Cream

While this product sounds less glamorous than everything else on this list, anyone who’s ever been afflicted with eczema will know that even the best brand of makeup can’t conceal the dry, itchy patches on your skin – which is why we’re thrilled that renowned skincare brand Kate Somerville offers a product that is nourishing, but that doesn’t feel overly clinical. Ingredients include Colloidal oatmeal, Blackcurrant Seed Oil, and various plant extracts (S$48).

8. NERD ALERT: Urban Decay's Pulp Fiction Collection

To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Pulp Fiction, Urban Decay has released a limited edition collection inspired by Mrs. Mia Wallace, the sultry screen siren played by Uma Thurman. The palette includes five eyeshadow shades for a smokey eye, and to go with it, a blood red lipstick, a matching lip pencil, and a super 90s-esque glittery black eyeliner. (Palette $52, Revolution Lipstick $33, 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil $32 and Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner $30)

Marc Jacobs’ products remain adorable, and classy as ever, our favourites being the crayon-shaped Kiss Pop Color Stick ($39), the Beauty Smart Wand Tinted Face Stick ($65) and the sleek Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Shadow Palette(S$90)  – all of which make a fashion statement, in addition to being practical.

11. Everything from Peter Thomas Roth

There’s so much to love about criminally underrated skincare brand Peter Thomas Roth, whose Fall collection delights both the eyes and the senses. In addition to containing their classic detoxifying cucumber mask and repairing rose mask, the Skinstant Mask Magic Kit (S$83) contains the wonderfully fragrant Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, which acts as an at-home alternative to a chemical peel (unlike the other two masks, which feel cool to the touch, the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask feels a little hot, as if it were refining your skin of all its impurities). We also love the Radiance Oxygenating Masque ($96), which turns foamy once applied, leaving you with a lasting glow; the Anti-Aging Defense Sunscreen Stick because hello, convenience ($49); and last but not least, the dual-ended CC Eye Correcting Concealer ($89), with one side for treating and concealing and another side for highlighting and brightening.

12. Sephora's cute collection

We’re not gonna lie, the main reason we love these Sephora products is that they’re FLIPPIN’ ADORABLE. Check out the super-versatile Brilliant Jumbo Cheeks & Lips crayon ($20); the appealingly quilted Outrageous Rouge Extreme Liquid Lipstick ($24); the hot pink Travel Brush Set ($17), and our favourite, the egg-shaped Kiss Me Balm ($14).

13. Deliciously fragrant buttercream and breakfast scrubs from Soap & Glory

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Soap & Glory’s products smell TOTALLY AWESOME. So awesome, that were we to wander into our bathrooms drunk, we’d probably eat everything on sight. Two of our favourite Fall releases include the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Lightly Whipped Body Buttercream, $25, and which smells like pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla (in other words, ice cream); and the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Oat, Sugar & Shea Breakfast Scrub ($25), which uh, smells like brunch. Noms!
