Crabtree & Evelyn Damask Rose Everyday Skincare Collection

You’ve doubtlessly spotted Crabtree & Evelyn’s Damask Rose Everyday Skincare Collection perched in store windows by now, and we’ll say this: the hype is legitimate. Not only are we thrilled that the brand has finally unveiled an extensive range of skincare products. In addition to smelling amazing (as all Crabtree & Evelyn products do), the Damask Rose Collection simplifies the process of skincare into three steps: cleanse, tone and moisturise.  Our favourites include the Softening Cleansing Oil & Makeup Remover ($28), the Relaxing Micellar Water ($30), and the Daily SPF45 PA+++ Lotion ($45).

Available at all Crabtree & Evelyn Stores

Multi-tasking sunscreen from NIVEA

We love a good multi-tasker, especially on busy days. Which is why we’ve gone gaga from NIVEA’s new all-rounding sunscreens: The NIVEA Sun Whitening Light Texture Gel Serum SPF50 PA+++ and the NIVEA Sun Whitening Light Texture Milk Serum (Nude Glow) SPF 50 PA+++. The lightweight Gel Serum acts as a sort of pre-moisturiser  (apply it before your regular day cream), while the Texture Milk Serum contains a “nude glow” that allows it to double up as a makeup base.

NIVEA Sun Whitening Light Texture Gel Serum SPF50 PA+++ (for face and body), $16.90
NIVEA Sun Whitening Light Texture Milk Serum (Nude Glow) SPF 50 PA+++. $15.90

Available at selected Watsons and NTUC Fairprice outlets

Daylong After Sun Repair

You’ve used sunscreen and sunblock, but what do you turn to when you’ve already gotten sunburned? Sure, there’s always good ‘ol aloe vera, but we’ve been mighty impressed by the After Sun Repair lotion from Daylong, a Swiss sun protection brand renowned for keeping Switzerland’s skiers safe from harmful UV rays. A DNA repair enzyme called ‘Endonuclease’ helps regenerate the skin after sun exposure, while Vitamin E will keep your face and body moisturised.

Daylong After Sun Repair, $32, available in selected pharmacies

Innisfree Soybean Energy Essence (Light)

Thanks to their watery texture, essences have become increasingly popular in Singapore. Our most recent favourite Innisfree’s Soybean Energy Essence (Light), an even lighter alternative to the regular Soybean Energy Essence. This one, which contains 94 per cent fermented Jeju soybean extract for anti-aging and whitening, is designed to be the first step in your skincare regime. We absolutely love how quickly it absorbs and how weightless it feels despite the humid climate. While its predecessor has a gel texture and was formulated for normal to dry skin types, the watery “Light” essence is more suitable for oily and combination skin.

Soybean Energy Essence (Light), $59, available at all innisfree stores

Kiehl’s Hydro-Poumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate

Does your skin look dull and tired despite your diligent use of anti-aging products? Then you might be suffering from Age-Related Dehydration, a condition caused by an imbalance of moisture within the skin. You might not have fine lines or sagging jowls yet, but a dull complexion can still add years to your face. Reclaim your youth with Kiehl’s new Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate, a formula that “floods” the deepest surface layers of dehydrated skin with moisture.  Your complexion will look plumper, fresher, and youthful immediately.

Kiehl’s Hydro-Poumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate, $80, available at all Kiehl’s stores

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Bath & Bodycare

This range actually came out a couple of months ago, but it’s never too late to rave about something we so thoroughly love. The Body Shop’s Wild Argan Oil Bath & Bodycare collection smells so amazing, we take a big whiff of the shower gel even before using it. By using Argan oil, these products not only recall ancient beauty regimes used by Moroccan women, but they also keep your skin supple, glowing, and smooth (hey, if Argan oil can protect women in the Sahara, then surely it can protect you).

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Bath & Bodycare products range from $9.90 to $30.90. Available at all Body Shop stores

Pond’s Age Miracle Range

At long last, Pond’s arrived in Singapore over the summer, with a range of products that target pretty much ever skincare problem imaginable. The brand’s Age Miracle collection is the star, and for good reason – we can’t remember the last time we saw an anti-aging range this comprehensive. Check out the Dual Action Eye Cream ($29.90) with separate formulas for targeting crow’s feet and dark circles, as well as the Pond’s Age Miracle Frim & Lift Targeted Lifting Massager ($49.90) that stimulates skin around the oft-neglected jaw and neckline.

Pond’s Age Miracle Range products range from $19.90 to $39.90. Available at selected Guardian outlets and departmental stores
