Beads, pom poms, tassels, needle and thread, pliers, scissors, jump rings ($30 in total, from Spotlight). Simone got these strappy sandals for $60 at Topshop.

STEP 1: Using the pliers, attach the tassels to the jump rings, then onto the shoe. Ensure that the colours are evenly distributed.

STEP 2: Add the gold leaves on with jump rings, layering on top of the tassel connections.

STEP 3: Lastly, using the needle and thread, hand-stitch the beads and pom poms on where you like. Look to distribute the colour nicely also. Enjoy DIY-ing!
