Style evolution: Fiona Xie

Last week, we heard the collective cheers of lusty fanboys all over Singapore after news broke that former actress Fiona Xie, one of Mediacorp’s 7 Princesses, is making a comeback to the small screen.

The 34-year-old, who left Mediacorp seven years ago, will be starring in upcoming drama Left Behind, which debuts in August on Channel 5. To celebrate her return, we dug through our archives to put together this gallery of Fiona’s style evolution over the years. You're welcome.

We can’t tell you how many times we singed ourselves with a pair of hot tongs back in the day while trying to achieve Fiona’s hairstyle. And remember when tube tops were a thing? At least Fiona had the good sense to not wear hers with transparent bra straps showing.

Not only did Fiona succumb to the trucker hat trend, she took it a step further by getting one with her name on it.

This strappy bandeau-halter thing is still pretty cute, especially considering that Fiona wore it in 2005, a.k.a. within the depths of fashion’s dark ages.

This look hasn’t aged as badly as some of the others. In fact, we would still rock that white mini today.
