Australian dairy is known for its creamy lushness. Here are six goodies made with wholesome milk from Down Under

Chris’ French Onion Dip, $6.20

A winning formula of tart cream cheese and mayo spiked with the sweet, mellow flavour of browned onions. We ended up emptying nearly half a pack of crackers in one sitting to dunk into this delicious Australian-made tub.

Chobani Honey Yogurt, $4.10

About three cups of Australian skimmed milk are used to make each handy pouch, and it tastes almost as rich as the full-cream stuff. Thick, silky and lovely with the subtly sweet honey for breakfast on the go.

Chocolate Brownie Bingsu, $18.90

The generous topping of Oreo cookie crumbs, chocolate ice cream and brownie chunks on this bingsu is undeniably yummy. But what we really love is the bed of icy milk flakes beneath. Aussie milk is poured into a special machine imported from Korea to churn out milky, light-as-snow flakes.

Pat and Stick’s Caramel Pecan Ice Cream Sandwich, $6.90

These popular ice cream cookie sandwiches are slapped together in Sydney, then shipped to Singapore. Nine flavours are available, but we like the Caramel Pecan best. Crumbly, nut-speckled cookies cradle delicate salted caramel ice cream. The thin cookies are not as crisp as we’d like and the ice cream melts quickly, but it’s still one of the better ice cream cookie sarnie offerings around.

Fluffy Cheesecake, $3.90

We didn’t expect to find great Japanese-style cheesecake at this hole-in-the-wall bakery in Bishan. But this humble-looking treat is fluffy, moist and packs a cheesy punch. Baker-owner Markus Aw used to work at tart specialist Drips Bakery Cafe, so you can also expect decent tarts here too.

Weis’ Classic Vanilla Bean Creamy Frozen Yoghurt, $11.90

This Aussie froyo from a tub tastes better than some mediocre offerings sold at soft-serve frozen yoghurt boutiques. The vanilla bean-dotted treat, which has the texture of a lighter ice cream is not too sweet, relatively smooth, creamy and tangy. Our only grouse: it becomes watery very quickly. Blend it with fresh fruit for a sophisticated smoothie.
