Soft-Serve and Froyo

Soft serve ice cream is generally smoother and less milky than regular ice cream due to an introduction of air during the freezing process. Froyo (frozen yoghurt) technically isn't ice cream, but is nonetheless satisfying in Singapore's sweltering climes.

Pictured above: Milkcow

Originally from South Korea, Milkcow has expertly fashioned inroads in Singapore's ice cream scene. Their blend of soft serve consists of organic milk delivered from Italian dairy farms while their toppings include Oreo crumbles, honeycombs, and jellybeans.

Gelato

Italians prefer a lower fat content in their ice cream by increasing the proportion of whole milk to cream. With less air content and served at a lower temperature, it results in added richness and an intensified flavour profile (doesn't mean it's healthier tho', sorry!).
