A driver caught with sheep in car was taking them to McDonalds

Driver attempted to take sheep to McDonalds in the back of his car, called over by police. He gave the excuse that people take their dogs in cars.

A driver from Yorkshire was stopped by police for having a sheep in his car and said he "just wanted to go for a drive-through at McDonalds".

The police in North Yorkshire pulled the man over for having two bald tyres on his Peugeot 206 but were stunned when a sheep was in the back of the vehicle.

A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said: "He told the officer, 'some people take their dogs in their cars, I take my sheep'. He [the motorist] just wanted to go for a drive-through at McDonalds."
