An artist has painted underwear on pebbles.

Designer Andre Levy, who hails from Brazil, has started the project in a bid to stop the sexualisation of nudity, the Daily Mirror newspaper reports.

Explaining the project, he wrote: "Objects in the city are abducted and reintroduced in their original environments after the addition of simple painted elements: manbriefs.

"Patterns are disrupted by the now humanized individuals which insert in the once uniform groups the seed of nudity and shame. Which of the objects are naked now?

"The painted ones or their surrounding pairs? The answer, as the sin, is in the eyes of the observer."
