Beach goers hit the tube

Men in scuba gear and grannies with surf boards flooded the London tube this morning to remind commuters to book their summer holidays.

Grannies with surfboards and scuba divers were seen travelling on the London Underground today (11.06.15).

A bikini-clad woman along with a giant inflatable donut and a man in trunks sporting terrible tan lines were also amongst the bizarrely dressed passengers who became a welcome distraction for commuters on the tube, bus and bridges across the city.

The 'silver surfers' were part of a stunt staged by TeletextHolidays.co.uk to mark the start of the vacation season, aiming to encourage the public to pin down their own holiday plans - at a time when 30% of Brits are still yet to book their summer trips, according to new research by the company.
