Inflatable sex doll rescued by RNLI

Rescuers in Britain launched a major search operation for a floating body - which turned out to be a sex doll.

The extensive operation occurred after lifeboat and helicopter crews were alerted to reports of a "lifeless" figure floating in the waters of Newquay, Cornwall, south west England, on Monday evening (25.01.16).

But the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) volunteers' efforts were in vain as the floating body was discovered to be nothing more than a soggy inflatable sex toy.

The operation comes after the Cornish town's 2015 crackdown on the mankini and zero-tolerance policy on sex toys.

Newquay Coastguard Association chairman Dave Bulley said the sex doll has since been "put in the bin".
