Man detained for opening plane’s emergency exit

A man was detained for opening the emergency door of a West Air flight on Monday, the third such case in China a month.

These days, it seems that a week can’t go by without hearing some sort of crazy drama on board a plane.

Two days ago (Dec 12), a man was detained in Chongqing for opening the emergency door of a West Air flight, the third such case in China in a month.

According to Chinese media, the flight from Lhasa had landed in Chongqing at around 6.30pm, and before cabin crew could open the doors, the male passenger yanked opened the emergency exit, deploying the emergency slide.

It is not known why the man, who was later detained later by police, opened the emergency exit.
