Mother and child live in Cyprus airport for a year

A mum and daughter have been living in an airport for a year after their visas were terminated.

A mum and daughter have been living in Larnaca Airport in Cyprus for a year after their visas ran out.

Adamos Aspris, Hermes Airport spokesman, revealed the mother and daughter combination spent the year living surrounded by airport travellers.

He said: "The airport has offered to help the Germans on numerous occasions but they have refused any aid and seem somewhat unwilling to change their circumstances."

In Cyprus, officials say the duo have been making the most of the airports facilities, such as the Wi-Fi, shopping areas, bathrooms and restaurants.
