Mr Kellogg invented cornflakes to stop masturbating

Mr Kellogg first invented cornflakes to stop the urge of masturbating in the morning by providing an "anti-masturbatory morning meal".

Mr Kellogg invented cornflakes to stop masturbating.

The cereal connoisseur - who was celibate and slept in a different room to his wife because he was anti-sex - thought masturbation is far worse and so he invented cornflakes as a "healthy, ready-to-eat anti-masturbatory morning meal".

According to unilad.co.uk, Mr Kellogg - who was a physician - was repulsed by sex and believed it was unhealthy for the body, mind and soul.

The food inventor also had other ideas how boys and girls can stop the urge to play with themselves.

For girls he suggested applying carbolic acid to the clitoris to burn it.

And for boys, he recommended using a thread and needle to sew a silver wire through the foreskin to stop erections.
