Mystery Machine in 100mph police chase

A real-life replica of Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine has been involved in a highly dangerous police chase.

The blue and green camper van, which resembles the cartoon series' version found itself in a 100-mile per hour police chase across four countries after its driver Sharon Turman, 51, raced off following a routine probation check.

Police in northern California began the pursuit but the chase was swiftly called off due to health and safety reasons.

Sharon shortly ditched the Mystery Machine in Cottonwood, Tehama City, which has been taken off the road by J and L Towling and taken to the wrecking yard to be destroyed.
