Pilot aborts flight due to rat

A pilot was forced to turn his plane around after a rat was spotted roaming around the cabin.

An Air India flight was told to turn back to Mumbai for health and safety reasons after passengers noticed the four-legged creature scurrying around the cabin.

A spokesman for the firm told Sky News that the aircraft would have to be fumigated before it could return to service.

Meanwhile, the animal incident came just a day after a pilot was forced to abort take-off after a stray dog trotted onto the runway in northern India.
