Woman booted off flight for poking snoring passenger

A woman was kicked off a Southwest Airlines plane enroute to New Hampshire last Thursday (April 16) for “poking” a passenger in the arm with a pen to stop him from snoring.

Passenger Michael Sutton said his friend Lenny Mordarski was asleep when the flight took off from Chicago’s Midway International Airport at about 1.15pm and the woman beside him jabbed him repeatedly in the arm.

"Imagine being asleep and then being stung by bees and waking up and going, 'Ouch!'” Madarski was quoted as saying.

The plane returned to the gate and firefighters were called in to evaluate Madarski. Though he was not injured, the woman, who was reportedly smirking after the incident, was removed from the plane. The flight was delayed for almost two hours as a result of the incident.
