For the first time in Asia, Singapore will be hosting a Junior Race targeted at kids 4 to 13 - those between 4 to 8 years old can take part in a 500m, 6-obstacle race, while those between 9 and 13 can compete in a 1km, 6-obstacle race. The numbers do not lie: In cities where the Junior Race has been held, it sees an average 1,000 signups each time.

Spartan Races feature races at three distances: 5km with 22 obstacles (“Sprint”), 12km with 25 obstacles (“Super”) and 16km with 33 obstacles (“Beast”). The races culminate each year in Spartan’s World Championship. Spartan Race is also the first of its kind to feature timing and global rankings; and with more than 240 events expected to take place in over 25 countries by year end, the options are varied.

The Reebok Spartan Race will take place in Singapore 15 November. To register, visit www.spartanrace.sg
