You will definitely want to capture this 9.3 metre double-storey carousel at Ngee Ann City’s Christmas Village at the Civic Plaza. Not just because it’s pretty to look at, but because you can actually ride in this vintage-looking 52-seater carousel. It costs $10 per person for a 3-minute ride, and be prepared to queue.

Head to various areas of Terminals 2 and 3 departure halls and be enthralled with games and surrealistic backdrops for perfect photos. We highly recommend Terminal 3’s Hogsmeade Village, filled with iconic stores, the eerie hall of portraits, and a life-sized replica of Hogwarts Express. If you’re there at the right time, you might just catch a snow and light show at 6pm, 7pm and 9pm on weekdays; and 1pm, 6pm, 7pm, 9pm on weekends.

It’s not an #sgchristmas until you’ve stepped into Gardens by the Bay’s Christmas Wonderland. Now in its fifth year, the attractions are supersized from Santa’s Grotto of magical light installations to a 7-storey luminarie mirror maze that reveals intricate white wood lattice-work handmade by Italian craftsmen. While the kids speed up a storm at the skating rink, go take pictures under a simulated blizzard at the Supertree Grove! The festival is on till Dec 26 from $4 per person.

From now till Dec 30, explore a tunnel of stars and gather under the immersive visual-display of lights and music with your loved ones to witness a stunning six-minute light show. Showtimes happen every 30min from 7pm – 10pm daily. There’s also a variety of outdoor carnival rides for all to enjoy.

If you haven’t caught sight of the spectacular Cartier Ferris Wheel, you must be sleep-walking! Apparently this 14m tall ferris wheel is the largest decorative ferris wheel in motion in Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, you can’t ride in it, but there’s a Cartier carriage at the base of the installation which you can sit in for photo ops.

From now till Dec 29, you can also enjoy live entertainment at Merlion Plaza, and take festive photos in front of Christmas trees made of gift boxes that light up from 7pm - midnight daily.
