Celeb cribs we want to crash in

When actress Sheila Sim posted photos of her love nest on Instagram recently, she elicited a serious case of home envy. Not only because is it beautifully designed, it also gave us a peek into how the rich and famous live.

Fortunately for us, Sheila isn’t the only design-savvy celeb to feature her lust-worthy home on social media. Whether you are in need of some home décor inspiration or just have a penchant for interior design, here are some stylish celeb pads you might want to copy.

Though Sheila’s love nest is still work in progress, from the photos on the actress’ Instagram account, we can see her personal style reflected in her home. Featuring plenty of wood and textures, it’s a perfect combination of relaxed comfort and quirkiness - love the party time lights and herringbone flooring at the entrance!

Jeanette’s home, which she moved into last year, is all about white and clean finishes. From the marble walls and countertops, to the glossy cabinets and floor, the almost all-white palette makes the apartment feel spacious and luxe. And how gorgeous is that study room? We’d get plenty of work done if we had a home office like this.

Whether he’s lounging around at home or playing with his furkids, you can catch glimpses of Desmond’s swoon-worthy interiors, which he designed and conceptualised himself, on his Instagram account. The apartment features a colonial-style decor with dark accents and Peranakan elements, inspired by the actor’s love for period dramas. And while his walk-in wardrobe is an enviable sight to behold, Desmond’s favourite spot is the living room, where most of the action takes place. And we can see why. Looking like a picture straight out of an interior design magazine, it looks like a cosy place to chill in.

Jeremy Chan and Jesseca Liu

Newlyweds Jeremy and Jesseca, whose four-bedroom HDB flat reflects a mix of Scandinavian and resort styles, is like a mini paradise in the city. The vibe is homey thanks to the wood and natural materials that give it a rustic feel, while Jeremy’s figurines and toy collectibles add a touch of quirkiness and colour to the otherwise black, white and grey palette. We totally dig that pink bunny chair at the side of the living room!

Jade Seah

We fell in love with Jade’s crib the first time we laid eyes on it in 2014. Eclectic and charming, the loft-style shophouse in Tanjong Katong is every vintage lover’s dream come true. A self-confessed junk collector and hoarder, the actress-host and her husband, Terence Lim, decorated the space with statement pieces and unique knick knacks nabbed at flea markets and on Etsy. She even dedicated a bureau (top right pic), dubbed the “museum”, to her vintage finds and personal “treasures”. While her shoe closet holds pride of place in her home, we’ve got our eye on the bathroom mirror, which we’re totally stealing for our new place.

Also boasting an expansive shoe closet (it’s already full!) are Alfred and Kewei, who moved into their own pad just in time to welcome the newest member of their family. The couple wanted a home that is simple, clean, fuss-free and baby-friendly, without sacrificing their personal style. The result: a modern and minimalist home with all the makings of a hipster hangout, think concrete tile flooring, white exposed “brick” walls, and barn doors. Even the nursery is chic and gram-worthy.

The first thing we noticed about Jamie’s pad is how bright and spacious it is. The two-bedroom apartment is done up in Scandinavian style, with white walls and neutral furnishings that allow the space to feel as open as possible. Light wood flooring lend a sense of warmth while the planters add a dash of colour, creating a nook of effortless comfort.

Elvin Ng

Elvin’s not-so-humble abode, which he spent a whopping $1 million renovating, is full of familial touches. Adorned with family photos and art pieces, the three-storey semi-detached house exudes a cosy resort feel. There’s even pond and little herb “farm” for his mum. But what’s most impressive is his very self-sufficient “man cave”, which boasts a walk-in wardrobe,  bathroom, lounge area, and pantry.
