Armed with a voracious appetite, Tim’s first memories in the kitchen involve cooking hearty curries alongside his father. Following the completion of a business degree, Tim went on to train in classic French cuisine and took on his first head chef position at age 23. These days, the 27-year-old Australian based in Singapore devotes his skills, passion and energy to inspiring kids to cook, through summer camp programmes with Camp Asia. While Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver were the first chefs he looked to when he was establishing his culinary knowledge, today, Tim takes inspiration from Rene Redzepi of Noma and Momofuku’s David Chang, who continuously push the boundaries of food to much fanfare. He hopes to inspire the next generation through his journey with Eat List Star by passing on the art of cooking and proving that anything is possible if you put your mind and heart into it.
