Bio-Oil Dy Skin Gel, from $8.90

For Bio-Oil fans, this is for you. It now comes in a new gel-oil texture but is still packed with the same healing properties thanks to the existing active ingredients - vitamins A and E, and Purcellin Oil. And to target dry skin, it also includes Glycerine, Shea Butter, Niacinamide B3 and Urea to intensely hydrate and nourish the skin while preventing moisture loss at the same time.

With this, a little goes a long way. The lightweight texture means that this gel applies easily and absorbs super quick. It also leaves no tacky feel behind, which is great even when using it in Singapore’s humid weather.

Available at Watsons and Guardian Pharmacy stores.

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, from $37

Finally, the wait is over. Makeup artist to the stars (Nicole Kidman, Kate Moss, Penelope Cruz and Sienna Miller), Charlotte Tilbury, has launched her skincare and makeup range in Singapore. From best-sellers like the Magic Cream to the newly launched Airbrush Flawless Foundation, there’s something for ever beauty junkie.

There is reason why the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk (pictured) is so iconic, and it’s our new favourite too. Not many lipsticks can pull off “one shade suits all” title, but this pink-nude hue is possibly one of the easiest lip colours we’ve tried. It enhances our natural lip tone, so you look like you, just better.

Skin Inc Optimizer Voyage Tri-Light Glasses for Bright Eyes, $298
Skin Inc Optimizer Voyage Tri-Light Glasses for Bright Eyes, $298

Skin Inc Optimizer Voyage Tri-Light Glasses for Bright Eyes, $298

Just like the brand’s Optimizer Voyage Tri-Light for the face, this NASA-inspired LED chromotherapy glasses uses light energy to reduce the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and signs of ageing around the delicate eye area. Red light boosts collagen and elastin production, yellow enhances blood circulation and orange (red and yellow combined) targets both concerns.

This nifty device actually sits really comfortably on the face, and the light is not too glaring. All you need is just 10 minutes each time and we like that it can be used to refresh tired looking eyes anytime too. And after three weeks, our eye area is starting to look a little less tired too.

Available at Skin Inc boutiques and Sephora stores.

Innisfree My Concealer range, from $16

Innisfree My Concealer range, from $16

Whatever you need to conceal, Innisfree has a concealer for you. Choose from three specific types - Dark Circle Cover, Spot Cover and Wide Cover.

Dark Circle Cover, as its name suggests, targets the under-eye area and comes in two shades suited to the undertone of your skin. Wide Cover comes in nine shades and is meant for areas across the cheeks, dubbed the “butterfly area”, focusing on freckles and pigmentation that you might want to cover up. Finally, Spot Cover comes in seven shades and has the highest viscosity, ideal for stubborn blemishes.

Our must-haves are the Dark Circle Cover and Spot Cover. The Dark Circle applies well thanks to its flat applicator tip and covered our unsightly dark circles easily. Though we did wish that there were a few more shade variations for a 100 per cent true match. The Spot Cover is great for the odd blemish and the built-in concealer brush helps with precise application each and every time. The formula is also buildable, which is useful in hiding angry spots too.

Clarins Fresh Scrub, Comfort Scrub and Pure Scrub, $54 each

Dubbed an ultra-sensorial range of facial scrubs, each scrub uses natural beads - wood cellulose, volcanic rock or beetroot sugar, to slough off dead skin cells without irritating the skin. Choose from three variants: Comfort with a gel-in-oil formula that is ideal for dry and sensitive skin, Fresh with a cream-gel texture for dehydrated skins and Pure is a gel exfoliant that targets blemish-prone skin and unclogs pores.

Our faves? The Comfort Scrub with its sugar microcrystals that are oh-so-gentle on our sensitive skin, leaving our complexions smooth, supple and comfortable after. Best bit? It can even be used on the lips, so our pout stays kissable always.

Dr Jart+ Cicapair Range, from $31

Centella Asiatica takes centrestage focusing on caring for sensitive skins that get easily irritated, inflamed and flushed. Affectionately dubbed “cica”, this active ingredient instantly soothes and calms the skin, while repairing and restoring it back to a healthy state once more. The range now includes everything you need from a Toner, Serum, various Creams, Mask and even a Facial Mist.

Our current go-to is the Calming Gel-Cream that is light enough to use daily and doesn’t feel tacky, even on our combination skins. We not only used this on our face but on freshly shaven legs too. And while many cica-centric products that we’ve tried are often unscented, the Dr Jart+ Cica Repair range has a relaxing scent that instantly calms the senses too.

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Gum, $9.50

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Gum, $9.50

With sensitive teeth and gum health being two of the most common dental problems, the new Sensodyne Sensitivity & Gum toothpaste contains a unique dual action formula to not only build a protective layer over the teeth to reduce sensitivity, but it also targets and removes plaque build-up that can lead to gum problems at the same time.

While our teeth aren’t the most sensitive, this still helped shield the pain we get at times from drinking too many ice-cold drinks. It did help with our tender gums, lessening the number of times our gums bled during the week of use. Plus, the strong minty-ness also left our breath super fresh.

Available at Watsons and Guardian Pharmacy stores.

Our top must-have? The Lifting Science Anti-Aging Bands. Whatever your wrinkle concern, there is a specific band for it. You can target furrows along the forehead or crow’s feet or even jowls as each band uses a transdermal patch technology to physically lift the skin while delivering the active ingredients directly to where it’s needed. They are also comfortable to use and our facial features are looking more lifted and youthful too.
