AHC Minimal 10, from $27.50

Every product in the range contains 10 or less essential ingredients so it doesn’t overload the skin, including the most sensitive of skins. The core active ingredient is the Triple Cica formulation, derived from Centella Asiatica, and is known to soothe and heal the skin. The range includes a Watery Essence, Therapy Ampoule Serum, Aid Cream and Gauze Mask Sheets.

This fragrance-free range is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive skins, as it not only hydrates and nourishes, but doesn’t feel rich and heavy, which is ideal for the hot weather. Our favourite is the multi-purpose Watery Essence that can be used as a toner, essence and even a quick, soothing face mask with cotton pads.

Diptyque Eau Minthé Eau de Parfum, $205
Diptyque Eau Minthé Eau de Parfum, $205

Diptyque Eau Minthé Eau de Parfum, $205

This powdery-fresh scent draws its inspiration from the ancient Greek nymph, Minthe, who was transformed into the herb we know today after attempting to seduce Hades, and was eventually left to infuse the Underworld with her scent. The result of this Greek myth recreation is a gender-neutral scent surrounded by notes of Mint, Geranium, Rose Oxide and Patchouli notes.

While the name might conjure up ideas of minty fresh sensations (think toothpaste and mint-chocolate ice-cream), it is not like that at all. While there was a minty freshness in the beginning, it dries down to leave a soft powdery musk that gives this scent more depth.

Available at Diptyque and Escential boutiques.

It glides onto the skin easily, but doesn’t have that slick finish that products with silicone give, so makeup sits well. Our complexions also looked fresh and less shiny throughout the day.

Bifesta Dual Phase Pore Clear Micellar Water, $19.90

Bifesta’s iconic micellar water makeup remover now comes infused with an enriching botanical blend of natural sunflower, lavender and rosemary oils. What this means is that it not only effectively removes heavy-duty makeup, but also softens and nourishes the skin.

Give the bottle a good shake to mix the oils before pouring a few drops on a cotton pad and swiping across the face. Our foundation and waterproof mascara came off like a breeze and skin also felt supple and refreshed. The calming scent from the botanical oils makes this a delight to use too.

Sulwhasoo Essential Lip Mask, $58

A sleeping lip mask that hydrates and repairs your pout while you sleep. Comes in two variants - Moisture and Recovery. The former is enriched with hydrating ingredient like Cnidium Officinale Root and Angelica Acutiloba Root waters and Jujube extract to keep lips moist and supple while the latter soothes and regenerates the lip with Madecassoside and Licorice Root extract. Alternatively, you can also use it as a second cleanser to remove lingering traces of stubborn lip colour.

When applied as a thick layer, it really hydrates the lips and gets rid of dry, chapped flakes too. Lips are super soft in the morning. This is also great to use on flights because the cabin air can be extremely drying, not only to your skin but lips too.

A lightweight tint that evens out the skin tone for a true only you, but better complexion. Created with Chanel’s patented Micro Fluidics process, the lotion contains coloured pigments that are suspended in an aqueous water-soluble phrase.

When applied onto the skin, it releases a burst of soft colour and hydrating freshness (thanks to the use of Vegetal Glycerin and Tamarind extract) that leaves a slight cooling finish. And as its name states, the coverage is minimal so this is better suited for those with almost perfect skin. Though it also makes for good weekend wear, when you don’t want to be wearing a full face of makeup out. Comes in three shades.
