Aveda Tulasara Wedding Masque Eye Overnight, $99

This ultra-rich cream mask is 97 per cent naturally-derived, and is inspired by Ayurvedic wisdom and an ancient Haldi bridal beauty ritual from India. The curcuminoids derived from the turmeric root (which is ground into a paste in the pre-wedding ritual) is used as a skin-brightener, while plant stem cells and organic apricot seed oil helps speed up skin cellular repair at night. An algae extract blend also helps to soothe and decongest puffiness.

Crème Simon Brightening Detox Multi-Benefits Eye Treatment, $25

We love how this dinky, ultra-affordable little thing is packed with so many great ingredients for the eye area. Soothing and depuffing botanicals like calendula, horse chestnut and butcher’s broom is combined with firming tetrapeptides, detoxifying floral extracts and the brand’s signature Activ-Fleur Complex to oxygenate and regenerate skin cells. Plus, the roller-ball applicator is a godsend for puffy eyes. We’d pack it in our flight bag as a remedy for jetlagged, bloodshot peepers.

This fluid eye treatment is a hybrid of skincare and colour corrector. We prefer a roller ball to the metallic slanted tip applicator, but it does work to soothe and refresh tired eyes. The pink-tinged fluid also works to optically brighten the eye area so that you look perkier, and helps makeup glide on smoothly. However, you’d probably need a more emollient eye cream to layer underneath this if you have dehydrated or dry skin as this gives a soft-matte effect and doesn’t provide much hydration.

Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Corrector, $65

Yet another hybrid skincare-meets-makeup product but one that we wouldn’t leave the house without applying. The ‘serum’ bit refers to the blend of cordyceps mushroom, Indian tree root, vitamin C and bamboo grass extracts that work to tackle the major causes of undereye discoloration like hyper-pigmentation and energises tired skin cells. This weightless serum also boosts skin moisture levels to plump and smooth while the dense pigments help to conceal the purplish bruising around our sleepless, tired peepers so that we look like we’d snoozed a full eight hours the night before.
