Celeb fashion and beauty trends we hope will die in 2020

As supermodel Heidi Klum would say: “In fashion, one day you’re in and the next day you’re out.” So with the start of a brand new year, we look back at the fashion trends that celebs have been rocking and weed out the styles have outstayed their welcome. Time to move on, everyone!

Wearing jackets off shoulder

It seems like it’s no longer cool to wear jackets the conventional way. While draping your jacket cape-style can elevate your look, slumping it off your shoulders or worse, one shoulder, is plain ridiculous.

Bike shorts as pants

We thought leggings as pants were bad enough, but then fashionistas and celebs took it a step further by donning bike shorts, or worse, neon lycra bike shorts. They are called bike shorts for a reason. Save them for the gym or saddle.

Tie dye

Did the unicorn food trend spur the return of tie dye? Whatever the case, this 60s trend should go back to where it came from.

Ultra cropped tops

Did these tops shrink in the washer? What's the point of these tops? Why would anyone wear a top that can barely cover the boobs? So many questions.

‘Maggie mee’ hair

We thought it was a one-off but apparently not. Sorry to break it to you ladies, but ‘Maggie mee’ only looks good in a bowl.

Off-shoulder balloon sleeve tops

Off-shoulder tops can be sexy but when the sleeves are saggy and “inflated” like arm floats, it’s time to give it CPR or bin it.

Baby hair

Don’t get us wrong, we like baby hair and the softness it lends to one’s look. But styled baby hair (that looks like it’s been drawn on with eyeliner)? Why?

Excessively frayed denims

There’s distressed jeans and there are denims that look like they’ve been through a shredder. If they look like they are hanging by a thread or if you are flashing more skin than cloth, it’s a sign that you’ve taken the look too far.
