What the stars ate this week

Our fave celebs tempted us with drool-worthy snaps of their foodie adventures this week - think Ya Hui’s boba-themed birthday cake, Michelle Chia’s delish ice creams, and Shane Pow’s first bowl of bak chor mee from Tai Hwa. Of course, there’s also Christopher Lee slurping up his yummy broth, and Nick Teo getting a real kick out of his caffeine fix!

What she ate: Tai Hwa bak chor mee

Yummy factor: So girlfriend Kimberly Wang got Shane to have bak chor mee with her, and she couldn't believe it was his first time having the delicious local favourite - topped with generous portions of fluffy minced meat, pork slices and meat balls - at the famous Tai Hwa Pork Noodle. There's a first for everything!

What he ate: Kopi joss in Yogyakarta

Yummy factor: Don't worry Nick, we'd be making that face too if we had to down a cup of kopi joss, or charcoal coffee. For the uninitiated, it is coffee served with a red hot piece of charcoal dunked in it. Carcinogens come free of charge with this beverage - just kidding (or maybe not).

The custom confection is definitely oozing with sweetness both literally and figuratively. And then there’s the tantalising plate of waffles with ice cream to polish off..
