What the stars ate this week

This week, Rui En got a lunch treat from her buddy Dennis Chew, Zed Zed got busy making his own pizza with Fann Wong and Christopher Lee, and Tay Kewei got her hands on a Piakssant (can you guess what is it?). Meanwhile, Ben Yeo tried fried you tiao from McDonald's in China, while Paige Chua indulged in a colourful buffet spread in Bandung!

What they ate: Curry rice

Yummy factor: Yum! Dennis took a break from mookata and porridge to have curry rice with Xu Bin and Rui En, along with lots of side dishes like chap chye, curry chicken and the works. With such a spread for lunch, even “Ice Queen” Rui En couldn't help but break into a smile.

What he ate: Pizza

Yummy factor: Zed Zed got busy decorating his own pizza at a friend's birthday party with ingredients like mushroom slices and pineapple cubes. And according to his mama Fann Wong, the thick-crusted pizza turned out yummy! Could Zed be a masterchef in the making?

Michelle Wong

What she ate: An indulgent meal at Shake Shack

Yummy factor: Two thick burgers, a Shackdog, a ton of fries and coffee milkshakes for two? It sure sounds like Michelle went overboard with her Shake Shack meal at Jewel, but boy does it look sinfully delish! Now, we'll just have to brave the queue..

What she ate: Buffet spread

Yummy factor: Laksa, breakfast platters, waffles, stuffed croissants and more - that's what Paige and the YES 933 DJs got to fill their tummies with at Hilton Bandung. We're eyeing that hot pink porridge-like dish... what could it be?

Joanna Dong

What she ate: Tongba

Yummy factor: According to Joanna, the traditional Nepalese beverage is a millet-based alcohol that tastes a little bit like Chinese glutinous rice wine, but lighter and more savoury - how interesting! And is that an eco-friendly bamboo straw she's using?

What he ate: Celebratory cupcakes

Yummy factor: Happy 8th anniversary, Destanation! Has it really been almost a decade since the fan club was formed? Desmond celebrated the occasion with his fans over baby blue cupcakes adorned with stars -- like the shining one he is!

Tay Kewei

What she ate: Piakssant and coffee

Yummy factor: Kewei paid a visit to local singer Chen Diya’s newly-opened cafe, Sanity Coffee, and she definitely wasn't disappointed. Aside from an aromatic cuppa, Kewei enjoyed a unique local (and flattened) version of the French croissant - the Piakssant - in various flavours, including Sea Salt Nutella, their bestseller.

What she ate: Fancy cocktails

Yummy factor: When you can't decide between flavours, take a leaf out of Sonia’s book and just get both. Inspired by Spiderman, we love how the cocktails she had in Bali are a riot of colours and textures.

What they ate: Oysters and giant shrimp salad

Yummy factor: Date night comprised giant plates of oysters and shrimp salad - yes, the plates were bigger than their faces! The strawberries probably added a nice touch to the greens, and Nick looked like he can't wait to start shucking some fresh oysters.

What he ate:  FInger food and desserts with a gin & tonic

Yummy factor: Nothing quite like a gin & tonic to wash down a heavy al fresco lunch by the beach, is there? Loving how there's a good mix of tangy salads, fried rolls and fresh oysters for a perfect #onthetable shot.

What he ate: Birthday cake

Yummy factor: Zheng Geping had a simple but cosy celebration with his family for his 55th birthday (May 27), and we're loving the petite chocolate cake they got him. It may be his birthday, but the muscle man has got to keep his diet in check!
