What the stars ate this week

The more we get together, the happier we’ll be! The kiddie jingle rings true this week for the cast of Channel 8 drama Jalan Jalan, who commemorated the last day of filming in the studio with a team lunch. Same goes for veteran Hong Kong actress Louise Lee and her co-stars from Portrait of Home, who managed to get together for a long-awaited reunion. Meanwhile, the Muttons tried out  seasonal ramen that isn’t for the faint at heart, Sora Ma indulged in an Insta-worthy beverage and Jeanette Aw treated herself to a mouthwatering bowl of lobster unagi don.

In attendance were Jeffrey Xu, Felicia Chin, Cynthia Koh, Pierre Png, Jesseca Liu, Xiang Yun, Zhang Yaodong, and Cavin Soh. What a wonderful reunion, with delish dishes befitting of the occasion.

What he ate: Ice cream wafer sandwich

Yummy factor: Is that even a question, Ben? Considering the recent sweltering heat and humidity we’ve all had to deal with the past week, it’s highly unlikely anyone will say no to an ice-cold treat. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that an old-school ice cream wafer sandwich is friendly on our wallets!

What he ate: Birthday cake

Yummy factor: Happy birthday in advance, Chase! Although his birthday (April 1) is more than a week away, pals like Hong Ling and Nick Teo decided to celebrate it ahead of time with a steamboat meal anyway. Along with his birthday cake, however, came a plate featuring a hand-drawn Spongebob SquarePants – how cute! And it matches Chase's shirt too.

What they ate: Mala xiang guo

Yummy factor: Fans of mala xiang guo will know just how shiok it is to indulge in one’s cravings for the spicy dish, even if it means having to perspire buckets in a warm hawkwe centre. Mala buddies Chantelle and Edwin ordered a huge bowl to share, and we spy instant noodles, seaweed strips and lots of peanuts!
