What the stars ate this week

This week, Fann Wong received a touching present from Zed Zed, Tay Ping Hui indulged in a whole German pork knuckle, and Qi Yuwu entertained his followers with a video of himself attempting to eat a pineapple crown. Meanwhile, Hayley Woo wasn’t sure how to tackle her huge order, and Shane Pow got to satisfy his cravings for pork liver!

Fann Wong

What she ate: Love toast made by her son Zed for Mother's Day

Yummy factor: After much postponement and disappointment, Zed finally got to whip up this pretty plate of toast with perfect sunny-side-ups to boot for his mama yesterday (May 15). Check out how pleased he is! But probably not as pleased as Fann who hastagged this "best present ever". Awww...

What he ate: Pork knuckle

Yummy factor: We won't be surprised if Ping Hui managed to finish the ginormous German pork knuckle on his own - it looks perfectly crisp and juicy! And with the accompanying savoury sauce.. Yum.

Hayley Woo

What she ate: Fried fish

Yummy factor: We aren't sure if it's the sheer size of the plate in front of her, or the potential spiciness of the Taiwanese dish that has Hayley looking on with bulging eyes and a grimace. Well, you've gotta try it to know, right?

What he ate: Pineapple

Yummy factor: He's on a roll with his food vlogs (of sorts) and it doesn't look like the hilarity is going to stop. Hot on the heels of his previous update last week is a new one featuring him munching on the crown of a petite pineapple, much to the amusement of his followers.

Yummy factor: The travel host satisfied her durian cravings in Penang with some crisp cream puffs that were chock full of custard made from the King of Fruits. And as Belinda put it, it was “a burst of heaven in (her) mouth”.

What they ate: Ice-cream and hotpot

Yummy factor: The pair managed to meet up in Taipei for a quick catch-up sesh over hotpot and dessert, and we love the radiance on Yvonne! Meanwhile, on a separate occasion, Desmond also polished off an entire sweet treat on his own. Though seeing how irresistible the waffles were, it probably wasn't difficult.

What they ate: Pizza in Chiang Rai

Yummy factor: Despite that delectable spread in front of him, Shaun, who was shaken and exhausted from the strenuous activities with the YES 933 crew, had no interest in the food. Oh well, more for Jeff and Chen Ning.

What he ate: Matcha ice pop in Osaka

Yummy factor: Gerald is no stranger to matcha, having tried "level 7" bitter matcha ice cream before (it was on a dare). But judging from his expression, the intensity of this popsicle was pretty off the charts too.

What she ate: Bak kut teh

Yummy factor: Instead of cooking at home on Mother's Day, Xiuhuan decided to relax on her special day and head out for some piping hot bak kut teh instead. When paired with fresh beancurd, dough fritters and some solid black sauce with sliced chilli, we can only imagine how shiok the simple but satisfying meal was.

Yummy factor: Not only did he get to eat a sumptuous serving of fresh lobster in Muar, Wenlong whipped up the dish himself! Judging by the exquisite plating and garnishing, we think a celebrity chef is in the making.

What he ate: Miso-flavoured confectionery

Yummy factor: Ever the gutsy foodie, Pornsak was game to try some miso-flavoured chocolates and ice-cream whilst in Japan. According to him, these milky and savoury treats are very nice, and the ice-cream was intriguing. But don’t just take his word for it -- they are probably an acquired taste!

Yummy factor: Zijie scarfed down his food so quickly that he barely had time to maintain impressions. Either the steamed buns were too delicious, or he was too hungry.
