From Desmond Tan’s savoury oyster omelette to Joanne Peh's giant sesame ball, the stars have certainly tempted us sorely with their yummy eats this week. On the dessert end of the spectrum, Michelle Wong was surprised with a birthday “cake” of a different nature, while Zed Zed got creative with mama Fann Wong in the kitchen. By the way, you’ll want to scroll on to see what Terence Cao had for breakfast...

Qi Yuwu and Joanne Peh

What they ate: Vietnamese pho

Yummy factor: Qi Yuwu continues his hilarious Cantonese commentary on Instagram - this time featuring a bowl of beef pho, much to the amusement of his followers and his wifey, Joanne Peh, who couldn’t stop laughing. Well, no matter if it’s pho or kway teow, we’ll let you make that call, Yuwu!

Desmond Tan

What he ate: Taiwanese street bites

Yummy factor: From the addictive bubble tea and liu sha fritter, to muah chee bingsu and must-try oyster omelette, it sure looks like Desmond had it all in the land of night markets! He even attempted a Cantonese commentary a la Yuwu.

What he ate: Homemade cupcakes

Yummy factor: Zed Zed spent a rainy afternoon baking with mama Fann Wong and we love how their homemade cupcakes turned out to be a show-and-tell session! According to Zed, the cupcakes are little gardens - the cake base is “soil”, cream piping is “grass”, bunny ears will make do as “butterflies”, and the carrot-shaped toppings shall be “caterpillars” -- gotta love a kid’s imagination!

What she ate: Birthday fruit platter

Yummy factor: Michelle celebrated her birthday (May 15) in advance with celeb pals Chen Yixi, Joel Choo, Shane Pow, Kimberly Wang, He Ying Ying, and Edwin Goh, at Hai Di Lao and the cheeky bunch prepared a platter filled with grapes, mangoes and more in place of a cake. Well, at least she probably hit her quota of fruits for the day!

Pornsak

What he ate: Cotton candy with espresso in Taichung

Yummy factor: "When I pour the hot espresso over it, the cloud slowly caramelises, revealing three scoops of ice-cream meticulously concealed beneath it and maple syrup generously drizzled on them," raved Pornsak, who could not get enough of the dessert. Sounds decadent? We wouldn't expect anything less from #FattyPornPorn.

Joanne Peh

What she ate: A giant sesame ball at Chengdu Restaurant

Yummy factor: "Mmm... but the calories! Think about it tomorrow," said Joanne, playing with her food until hubby Qi Yuwu playfully tried to push her head into the hollow jin dui. That's the spirit, Joanne, though we think we'd get jelak before we reach the centre of the sphere.

Chen Liping

What she ate: Eggstop sandwich

Yummy factor: If this ain't loaf (love).. We don't know what it is. Does her beef teriyaki sandwich look good or what? All it needs is a gooey runny egg yolk on top of it now.

Terence Cao

What he ate: Fried larvae

Yummy factor: Fancy having a protein-rich brekkie comprising fried larvae? Well, that's what Terence did - a whole spoonful (and probably more!) of it. While his Old is Gold co-stars Chantalle Ng isn't quite taken to the idea, Edwin Goh looks gleeful enough - probably because he wasn't the one having it.

Andie Chen

What he ate: Good ol’ H2O

Yummy factor: Yup, Andie is back on his water fast and didn't have any solid foods for 80 hours straight. We can only imagine the sort of willpower the health-conscious actor needs to power through!

What she ate: Heart-shaped eggs

Yummy factor: Andie's wife, on the other hand, got busy preparing sunny-side-ups in the cutest heart-shaped frying pan for herself and the kiddos... which tempted Andie sorely. Well, you can have yours after 80 hours, Andie!

What he ate: Mother’s Day feast

Yummy factor: Elvin managed to squeeze in an advanced Mother’s Day celebration (how sweet!) with his mum and aunties despite his busy filming schedule, and boy did they indulge in a yummy buffet with the likes of crabs, fried king prawns and a durian cake to boot.

What he ate: Sea urchin

Yummy factor: Can fresh Japanese uni taste any sweeter and creamier? Well, probably, if you're personally fed by the chef like Yaodong!

Sora Ma

What she ate: Chocolate churros

Yummy factor: Chocolate-coated churros are probably just as ubiquitous as the famed butter beer from Universal Studios Japan, and Sora couldn’t help but get her own. Never mind the calories, this sinful snack (coated with crushed nuts, no less) is worth the extra burpees, right Sora?

Hong Ling

What she ate: Black pepper crab

Yummy factor: Hong Ling, who was in Kuching with YES 933 DJs Chen Ning, Jeff Goh and Lin Pei Fen earlier this week, looks exceptionally pleased with the huge plate of black pepper crab in front of her. The wok hei game is strong here and just like Hong Ling, we're sorry boyfriend Nick Teo didn't get to try it!

What she ate: Sushi with Ming Bridges at Shinji by Kanesaka

Yummy factor: Unlike Ming Bridges, Rozz may not look the most glamorous while enjoying her nigiri, but we're sure the sushi was equally orgasmic. Plus, not everything is for the ‘gram, right?

Chantalle Ng

What she ate: Insta-worthy cake from Butter Studio

Yummy factor: With Mother's Day just around the corner, Chantalle was gifted with a gorgeous cake piped with carnation flowers for the occasion. It looked so delicious, her dog Pretty was tempted to have a bite too!

Shaun Chen

What he ate: Cake with his fan club

Yummy factor: How time flies - Shaun Chen’s fan club celebrated its 6th anniversary with the actor himself, and the occasion doubled up as a congratulatory meet-up for his Star Award win as well. We can only imagine how sweet the custom cake must have tasted for both Shaun and his fans!

What she ate: Italian fare

Yummy factor: While Denise may be missing the al dente pastas she had in Italy, her lunch back in Singapore looks just as yummy -- is that parma ham and burrata cheese we see?

Jean Danker

Jean Danker

What she ate: Plane nosh

Yummy factor: Jean got to experience Qatar Airways new Qsuite at the airline's ION Orchard pop-up, complete with its culinary offerings. And while the savoury bites do look appetising, we're partial towards the raspberry tarts dusted with icing sugar!
