What the stars ate this week

This week, Yasminne Cheng attempted to polish off a metre-long thosai, Chantalle Ng and Thomas Ong had lots of yummy eats in Bangkok, while Shane Pow had authentic spicy boiled fish in Beijing. Back on the little red dot, Lawrence Wong and Chuando Tan enjoyed a fine dining lunch that included exquisite dishes like chicken liver parfait and sous vide duck.

What she ate: Jumbo thosai at Casuarina Curry

Yummy factor: Check out that metre-long thosai! Even though it was tasty (and great for the 'gram too might we add), the Class 95 DJ said she was "hardly close to finishing it". Jio us next time, Yaz!

What they ate: Lunch at Pollen Restaurant

Yummy factor: Lawrence and Chuando had a healthy yet yummy lunch at Pollen Restaurant with Pornsak and Vivian Lai. Recommended by Chuando for its ambience, Pollen served up an interesting menu comprising chicken liver parfait (that looked like a cherry!), fish skin, sous vide duck, salmon, and more. The portions weren't huge though - would the guys be hungry after?

Mark Lee

What he ate: Huat cake

Yummy factor: Mark had not one but two birthday cakes for his celebration at Orchard Hotel, and we're impressed at the level of detail that went into the making of his black huat cake! It's adorned with expensive watches, a sports car, bank notes, gold coins as well as glittery stars. The best part? There was actual money in various currencies embedded within!

What he ate: Pancakes

Yummy factor: We love how mama Kate Pang made pancakes for Aden in the form of his name, as well as in creative shapes such as a butterfly, snail, tree, and flower. Just one tiny glitch though... She jumbled up the letters in his name!

Yummy factor: Chantalle had a quick getaway in Bangkok, where she made sure to indulge in yummy street eats, as well as the Thai milk tea shaved ice from Lukkaithong at Chic Republic. Served with pieces of tea bread and topped with a generous mound of whipped cream, it's a sinful dessert alright.

Jack Neo

What he ate: La mian

Yummy factor: Jack said many people warned him that la mian can be very spicy so he was a little wary when he tried it for the first time, hence the two cans of tea on standby. Despite the "terrifying" red hue, he said the noodles were "OK, no problem", adding that he might try spicy level 10 next time. Very daring, this one.

What they ate: KFC Mighty Zinger and boba tart

Yummy factor: The Muttons were likely one of the first to try the new KFC Mighty Zinger burger, and they sure looked happy to dig into the limited edition creation featuring an upsized Zinger patty, Turkey bacon, cheddar cheese and more! Of course, they also finally managed to get their hands on KFC’s boba tart. Looks a little sad though.
