What the stars ate this week

This week, Felicia Chin's celeb pals threw her a surprise birthday celebration; Sharon Au satisfied her cravings for fishball noodles in Paris; Ya Hui flipped her way to culinary success; Cynthia Koh tucked into her all-time fave local dish, and can you guess who's that chilling out with a face mask and ice cream?

What she ate: Pizza, hotpot and birthday cakes

Yummy factor: Felicia and boyfriend Jeffrey Xu treated their fans to a pizza feast to celebrate Feli’s 35th birthday (Oct 24) in advance. And of course, they prepared a birthday cake for her as well -- the first of many to come, including a surprise celebration by celeb pals like Elvin Ng, Romeo Tan, Chantalle Ng, and Dennis Chew.

What he ate: Baby Shark ice cream

Yummy factor: Can’t decide between masking and having ice cream? Why not have the best of both worlds like Joel? After all, there’s nothing quite like kicking back with some Baby Shark-themed butterscotch ice-cream whilst rejuvenating one’s skin with a foaming face mask!

Yummy factor: The Last Madame star took Joanne and her kiddos to Taipei’s famous Modern Toilet Restaurant for their first meal in Taiwan, and it sure looks like #BabyQi and #QiDidi couldn't wait to explore the poo-fect dining spot.

Sharon Au

What she ate: Fishball noodles

Yummy factor: Trust Sharon to find fishball noodles in France! Thanks to her friend’s recommendation, Sharon got to indulge in the hawker favourite at a Vietnamese cafe in Paris. And while it can’t compare to her favourite Redhill Market stall’s rendition, the dry-style mee kia (which also came with prawns) is probably good enough to satisfy her cravings for now.

Yasminne Cheng

What she ate: Frog leg porridge

Yummy factor: Believe it or not, the Class 95 DJ has never tried frog leg porridge, at least prior to her visit to G7 Live Seafood over the last week. Who else thinks that the best part of the meal isn't the meat (as yummy as it is), but the rich dark sauce that blends perfectly well with the thick congee?

Qi Yuwu

What he ate: Thai favourites

Yummy factor: How can one miss out on Thai signatures whilst in Bangkok? Well, that’s exactly what Qi Yuwu thought. The actor satisfied his cravings for mango sticky rice from Mae Veree Fruit Shop in the Thonglor neighbourhood, as well as a most delish-looking pad thai from Thai street food resto Ros’niyom. We wonder if he managed to stock up on tins of Cha Tra Mue’s fragrant Thai tea mix as well?
