What he ate: His birthday cake, modelled after his favourite cap, from Baker’s Heart

Yummy factor: This looks exactly like the real cap, and how about that fireworks fountain candle? Definitely filing this under over-the-top celebrity cakes.

What she ate: Crab at a seafood restaurant in Taipei with Hong Hui Fang, Chen Xiuhuan, Yvonne Lim and Fish Leong

Yummy factor: Sometimes crab is best enjoyed plain and boiled without any sauce covering the natural flavour. The company of your girl friends and a table covered with fresh seafood? Doesn’t get much better than this.

What he ate: Homemade popiah

Yummy factor: Judging by that perfectly wrapped and stuffed roll and smug grin, Thomas’ first attempt at popiah making was a success.

What she ate: Cake, cupcakes, macarons, and fruit tarts to celebrate the full month birthday of Tay Kewei and Alfred Sim’s baby son

Yummy factor: This is probably the most gangster dessert table for a baby’s full month party; even the frosting on the birthday cake and cupcakes follow the tattoo theme.

What they ate: Ice cream (pistachio and mint perhaps)

Yummy factor: The ice cream looks kind of ordinary but judging by their twinning smiles, these two were 100% satisfied.

What he ate: Tender, glistening chunks of hong shao rou (braised pork belly) by mummy Kate Pang

Yummy factor: “Hope that even after you grow up, you will miss mummy’s homecooked food,” Kate captioned. Guess delicious pork belly is the secret to ensuring filial piety.

What she ate: Gelato from Amorino Gelato in Paris

Yummy factor: “Gelato transcends all ages from baby to 42 year old Auntie Au!” Sharon wrote. Couldn’t agree more – especially when the gelato comes in flower form.

Eelyn Kok

What she ate: A meal at Food Lovers Only with fellow stars Felicia Chin, Chew Chor Meng, Michelle Wong, Zhu Hou Ren, and Joel Choo, joined by café founder Candyce Toh and her hubby Ang Junyang

Yummy factor: While Eelyn raved about the tom yum prawn pasta, it was this dessert that caught our eye. Waffles, ice cream, and brownies make an irresistible trio – especially when the brownie chunks are as big as these.

What she ate: Cheese tofu for breakfast, prepared by her mum

Yummy factor: Looks like it was so good she couldn’t wait to eat it in the car. We’d tear into these perfectly charred, springy mounds of cheesy goodness without a second to waste as well.

What she ate: Birthday cakes to celebrate turning 39 years old

Yummy factor: These are smaller than some over-the-top celebrity birthday cakes, but we’re won over by the tasteful presentation and simplicity of using just one candle. Happy birthday, Apple!

What he ate: Dough fritters and tau huay with pals like Benjamin Heng, Sandra Riley Tang and Hirzi Zuklifie

What she ate: Seafood pasta and vino at Rotorua, New Zealand

Yummy factor: It’s a good deal when there’s more seafood than pasta on your plate.

Jae Liew

What she ate: Chicken karaage and some vege sides

Yummy factor: During her live “muk bang” session (eating broadcast), Jae bit off more than she could chew – literally –  and was unable to speak for almost 30 seconds. The food was THAT good huh?

Joakim Gomez

What he ate: A burger, which he took a selfie with to commemorate his first Instagram post on his new iPhone X.

Yummy factor: Is it weird that we are more excited about the burger and dangling bacon strip than Joakim’s new toy?

What she ate: Beachside bites and drinks at Sentosa on a Thursday

Yummy factor: These could be sandwiches and sushi but it’s hard to be sure. Let’s focus on the fact that this beach meal took place on a Thursday… Sounds like someone’s weekend came early, eh?

What she ate: Sunday Folks’ soft serve topped with strawberries and crunchy caramel almond thins

Yummy factor: Ugh, tempting much? This soft serve is 5 seconds from trickling down its cone, leaving a creamy trail to lick up all the way to the top – right before you take a bite of that crispy caramel slab.

What they ate: A reunion meal at Burnt Ends after Henry returned from his travels

Yummy factor: Not gonna lie, Henry looks pretty jetlagged, but nothing like tasty food and a date with your SO to help stay awake.

What she ate: Freshly picked strawberries

Yummy factor: Sour or not, knowing that she handpicked these herself must have made the eating experience more rewarding.

Michelle Wong

Michelle Wong

What she ate: Cheesecake

Yummy factor: Oh the raspberry colour sure is pretty. Michelle’s expression gives us pause though. Is it a wince? Is it a close-eyed smirk of satisfaction? Why no one snuck a bite of that yummy cake while she wasn’t looking is beyond us.
