What the stars ate this week

This week, Fann Wong savoured a collagen-rich fish maw soup, Cheryl Wee managed to enjoy a romantic dinner in her maternity ward, and Kayly Loh indulged in a juicy lobster roll in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Desmond Tan tried some cheeky Taiwanese waffles (we hope he paid for them) and Jeffrey Xu basked in love as Felicia Chin fed him fresh otoro from her bowl!

What she ate: Feast with hubby Christopher Lee, Dawn Yeoh, and friends at Crystal Jade

Yummy factor: Apart from yummy dishes like crackling roast pork, egg tarts and chendol coconut, Fann had a piping hot bowl of fish maw soup that was thick from hours of simmering, complete with a crisp fried roll to dip with. Shiok!

What they ate: Omakase

Yummy factor: The lovebirds joined Malaysian actress Jojo Goh for dinner at Hashida Sushi, where Jojo and Jeffrey enjoyed creamy servings of uni. As for Felicia, she opted for otoro (tuna) instead and it's said to be even better. The sweetest part? Feli fed Jeffrey before she even got to try it, and we bet that scoop tasted heavenly for him.

What he ate: Ghost pepper instant noodles

Yummy factor: Unlike Tong Bingyu, Lee Teng's #ghostpepperchallenge was a teary affair. The poor host was not only in tears, but was also left with sausage lips and a tongue so swollen that he could barely speak. Er, not yummy I guess?

Yummy factor: Ferlyn got her fill of carbs at New Lucky Claypot Rice at Holland Drive Market & Food Centre, and we’re loving the huge pot of charred goodness and bits of lup cheong. We hope she scraped up all the burnt rice bits at the bottom of the pot.

Desmond Tan

What he ate: Waffles

Yummy factor: Question - did Desmond have enough moolah to pay for these “Money Not Enough” waffles? Finances aside, these fluffy, golden-brown waffles from a quirky Taiwanese cafe look like they'd be perfect with a drizzle of maple syrup and chocolate sauce.
