Team Epicphany from Singapore Management University (SMU) is crowned the national winning team of L'Oréal Brandstorm Singapore 2016. The team comprises of same-aged Ms Jessica Lim Si Ying, Ms Tan Li Tong, and Ms Sharon Lim Yu-Zhen, 23.
This year, 132 students across 44 teams are given the task of developing an international recruitment strategy based entirely on digital for leading French pharmaceutical brand La Roche-Posay.
When asked what attributed to their success, Team Epicphany remarked, “Our team's winning formula is, firstly, we are daring - we are not afraid to think out of the box and challenge the status quo. We are inventive - we combine magic and logic to come up with unique solutions to tackle challenges that La Roche-Posay faces today. Lastly, we are united - we fused together our individual strengths to create our team spirit and are ready to give our very best.”
Ms Tan was also presented with the Mediacorp Star Award in recognition of her outstanding presentation skills. “I am very humbled to receive the Mediacorp Star Award,” Ms Tan commented, “The good synergy with my team mates added to my confidence on stage.”
Team Epicphany will now represent Singapore and compete against other teams from some 46 countries in the International Finals in Paris, France on 30 June. The winning International team will walk away with a €10,000 prize.
