Dita Von Teese has lashed out at the Kardashians for promoting the use of waist-training.
The 43-year-old burlesque dancer has slammed the use of the stomach-crushing slimming tool, used by the likes of the reality TV family, and believes people should adopt her method and use corsets to help them gain a slimmer middle.
She said: "'It's like the blind leading the blind. The people who actually know a lot about corsetry are not the ones who are publicly speaking about it.
"And I'm seeing some of the corsets they're saying are waist shapers and I'm thinking, 'That doesn't work.' "
The model has been using corsets since she was 18 years old and believes they are a great way to get a jaw-dropping waist in just seconds without causing permanent damage.
Speaking to the Huffington Post newspaper, Dita said: "It seems to be a fast fix. And it is! If you put on a corset and pull the strings tight, you instantly have this silhouette. And it's great, but it's not going to modify your body if you're not engaged in a serious [regimen] of it."
