Kate Hudson's "fun and sexy" personality inspired her look for the Golden Globes.
The 36-year-old actress turned heads when she hit the red carpet at the awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (10.01.16) in a nude coloured Michael Kors Collection dress that showed off her body and a new hairstyle.
Kate's makeup artist Mélanie Inglessis has now revealed what she did to get the 'Bride Wars' star ready for the big Hollywood night.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Mélanie said: "The dress is all body, it's really sexy, it's very Kate. I just wanted her to look really healthy, like a sun-kissed goddess. Kate is fun, she's sexy, she's modern and I just wanted to go with all of that. So I created beautiful skin, a smoky eye and a nude lip. It was a little '70s, Studio 54, a little sexy, a little Kate."
Melanie used Chantecaille's gel bronzer on Kate's cheek bones, forehead, nose and chin and highlighter on Kate's "cheek bones, brow bone and on the bridge of the nose to create luminosity when the light hits those parts of the face stand out".
To complete the look, the beauty expert used Chantecaille's Le Magnolia Eye and Cheek Palette mixed with Le Chrome Luxe Eye Duo in Monte Carlo and brown eye-liner and Chantecaille's lip liner in Nuance and Lip Stick in Agave on Kate's face.
