Lorraine Kelly wanted to "empower" women with the Bikini Promise + One.
The 56-year-old Scottish presenter is set to bring back the fitness campaign to her ITV Breakfast show for the second year running, and has admitted the reboot was created to help females feel positive about their body shape and encourage them to "enjoy" exercising.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper about the re-launch, the brunette beauty said: "I can't believe it's been a year since I wore a bikini on national TV.
"I'm aiming to empower women to feel good about their bodies and find a fitness regime they enjoy."
The Bikini Promise + One will see Lorraine join forces with Doctor Hilary Jones, nutritionist Sally Bee and fitness professional Maxine Jones over a six week period to advise her audience on a healthier way of living, including meal plans and fitness routines for the upcoming summer months.
Speaking about the plan, she said: "This year we're encouraging people to partner - up, too, so there is always someone to fall back on if you're struggling."
However, the mother of one - who has daughter Rosie, 22, with her husband Steve Smith - has revealed she was never enthusiastic about dieting or exercising until her friend Joyce Woodrow encouraged her to work out, and Lorraine has confessed she has never felt healthier.
She explained: "It took me until I was in my fifties to get healthy. I am still the same size I was last year and that's because the Bikini Promise is a healthy eating plan for life.
"My best friend Joyce Woodrow was the one who inspired me to get fit. I went on holiday to Spain to visit her and she dragged me kicking and screaming to a Zumba class. After she got me away from the tapas and prised my hands off my glass of Rioja, I absolutely loved it.
"When I came back I found there was a class opposite my flat in London - that was Maxine's class. Now I go twice a week. There are women of all shapes and sizes."
The Bikini Promise + One will launch on ITV's 'Lorraine' next Monday (06.05.16).
