Victoria's Secret Angel Taylor Hill has revealed she was tormented about her height by vicious bullies at school.
The 19-year-old model, who got her white wings last month, decided to turn her back on her Colorado school and pursue modelling after she was picked on for her slender 5'9" frame.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, she said: "Boys didn't like me then, and now they're all like, 'Hey, I went to school with you.' Last time I checked, nobody remembers that I went to that school. People were shocked when they found out I went there. I didn't exist back in the day."
The brunette beauty felt like she was the "butt of everyone's jokes" but the negative comments about her weight and height forced her to kick-start her career much sooner.
She explained: "I was ready. I was like, 'Put me in the world - I don't care. I'm a nerd. They don't like me there.' "
And, although she had a tough time in her early teens, Taylor - who was signed with talent agency IMG when she was just 14 years old - believes being the odd ball at school made her appreciate the "sisterhood" she now has with her fellow Victoria's Secret models.
