An alligator has been spotted ringing a doorbell.
The four metre length reptile crept up to the blue door of a house in South Carolina and used his tail to balance himself as he stretched and pressed the white button.
The incident was filmed by local man Gary Ridge, who was out walking his dog near his home.
He told ABC News: "(It) looked like he was really trying to make an attempt to get over the fence and into this woman's pool in the backyard. It went over to the house... up around the doorbell."
But resident Jamie Bailey wasn't home and was shocked when he heard of his strange visitor.
He added: "I thought it was a joke. I mean who would have thought? An alligator!"
