London gets a treehouse

A 35ft-high treehouse has appeared on London's South Bank.

Virgin Holidays' week-long installation has been influenced by one of their Wonderlist experiences; the Lion Sands Game Reserve treehouse accommodation in South Africa, and is open for anyone to visit between 11am and 6pm.

And a lucky few can win the chance to stay overnight in the structure - complete with a six-course private degustation menu from 'Masterchef' contestant Petrus Madutlela - by registering at

The interior has been exclusively designed by renowned interior designer Hubert Zandberg and features a range of tribal prints, a four-post plush bed and several one-off pieces of African sculpture.

The installation will remain open until Friday (29.01.16) and will be staffed around the clock.
