A new mother has promised to call her baby 'Uber' after the taxi firm came to the rescue when she went into labour.
Taxi driver Shahnawaz was sent to pick up Babli and two other women after an ambulance failed to arrive soon after her water broke to take her to Safdarjung hospital in Dehli, India, the Daily Star newspaper reports.
But they couldn't reach the medical centre in time and driver Shahnawaz had to deliver the baby in the taxi.
He said: "The woman was writhing in pain and her friends did not know what to do. I pulled out the towels from the seats and poured some drinking water into a bowl.
"The child was born within minutes and I was really happy to see that he was responding."
