Over a million Brits named after Disney characters

More than a million people in the UK are named after Disney characters.

The research shows more parents than ever are taking inspiration for their baby names from the likes of 'Toy Story', 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'.

A study by travel company Florida4Less shows that people aged 18 to 34 are most likely to name their child after a Disney character, while 16% percent of UK adults said although it was a "nice idea" they wouldn't do it themselves.

The three most popular Disney names are Jasmine from 'Aladdin', 'Toy Story' dinosaur Rex and 'Beauty and the Beast' hero Belle.
