Paine Family Geodesic Dome in West Virginia, USA

Only the most diehard of GoT fans will recognise the fleeting cameo of this temple in King Renly's Camp. Regardless, the stunning dome-shape structure, located in Northern Ireland, is a sight to behold. While you can't stay in the actual structure, the Geodesic Dome - which also features grand fireplaces hewn of stone and proximity to the snow slopes of Snowshoe - is an excellent alternative. This property is good for 14 , so round up your fellow ski enthusiasts. Check it out here.

Holiday cottage in Ischia, Italy

This Italian holiday cottage looks so much like the Red Keep, current seat of Queen Cersei, that we're almost disappointed it doesn't come with a replica of the Iron Throne. What it does have however, are breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian coast, Vesuvius and the other islands of the gulf of Naples. The queen would approve. Accommodates four. Check it out here.

Historic tower house in County Cork, Ireland

There's still plenty that Jon Snow doesn't know - most of all, the fact that he's the lovechild of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark - but at least fans got to have the big reveal at the Tower of Joy, where a newborn Jon Snow was entrusted to Ned Stark by a dying Lyanna Stark. Ruminate over the scene (and ponder when will Jon know things) at this 500-year-old tower house that melds medieval design with contemporary furnishing. Accommodates seven. Check it out here.

Bertradaburg Castle in Germany

This actual medieval hilltop castle in the German municipality of Murlenbach may greatly resemble Winterfell, the ancestral home of House Stark, but it's all modern amenities within. Its remoteness (Murlenbach is more than 50km away from the nearest major airport at Frankfurt) will give you the feeling of being suspended in time. Check it out here.

Tower Capperina at Amalfi Coast, Italy

You probably won't be needing protection of the strong walls like the Lannisters did in the tragic battle of Blackwater Bay, but this grand old tower overlooking the pristine waters of the Amalfi Coast offers a sense of security and privacy anyway. There's even a private pool and exclusive access to the sea. Accomodates four. Check it out here.

Just how much of a diehard Game of Thrones fan are you?

Are you still rejoicing in the return of the show this week and have already canceled after-work plans on Monday night for the next six weeks? Not bad, but so have hundreds of other fans in Singapore (or at least, according to my Instagram feed - am I the only person who does not watch the show?)

Do you own all the necessary memorabilia, have sat on the Iron Throne when a replica of it came to Singapore in 2015, and made your way down to the Game of Thrones Pencil Microsculpture exhibition last month? Can you drop show references as and when you please?

Impressive, but in our books, you can't count yourself in the upper echelons of fandom until you've spent a questionable amount of time and money indulging in your enjoyment of the show.

But merely traveling to film locations is so 2015 (and too touristy and gimmicky). What we do approve of, is renting out these spectacular vacation homes that bear great resemblance to actual Game of Thrones filming sites on vacation rental site HomeAway, for a truly immersive experience. After all, what's traveling to Iceland with thousands of other tourists, when you can live out your GoT fantasy within the privacy of these rental homes?

And even if you don't watch the show, these are still some of the most lust-worthy accommodation you'd ever see. Check out the gallery above for some serious holiday inspo
